PRESS RELEASE: NHCP unveils the Quintin Paredes historical marker BANGUED, ABRA - The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP) led by its Deputy Executive Director Carminda R. Arevalo, unveils on Saturday, 23 February 2013, the historical marker “Quintin Paredes” at the Ancestral House of Paredes in Bangued, Abra. The marker states:
The marker will be officially turned over to Atty. Quintin Paredes III. Ms. Violeta Paredes vda de Valera and Mrs. Gina C. Batuhan, Chief of Historic Sites and Education Division, NHCP will stand as witnesses during the signing of the Certificate of Transfer. The NHCP is the national government agency mandated to promote and preserve Philippine history and heritage through research, information dissemination, conservation, including the marking of historic sites and structures, and the maintenance and administration of national shrines, monuments and landmarks.
