49th Death Anniversary of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo to be observed Kawit, Cavite – The National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), in cooperation with the Municipal Government of Kawit, Veterans Federation of the Philippines and the descendants of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo will lead the commemoration of the 49th Death Anniversary of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo on February 6, 2013, 8:00 a.m. at the Emilio Aguinaldo Shrine in Kawit, Cavite. The commemorative program will start with a memorial mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Romeo Ner, Parish Priest of Santa Maria Magdalena. Flag raising rites will follow immediately with Kawit Municipal Mayor Reynaldo B. Aguinaldo, NHCP Exec. Dir. Ludovico D. Badoy, and officials from the Philippine Navy in Cavite and PNP-Kawit. Wreath-laying rites will be led by Kawit Municipal Mayor Reynaldo B. Aguinaldo, and NHCP Exec. Dir. Ludovico D. Badoy. They will be joined by officials and representatives from the Descendants and Friends of Gen. Aguinaldo, Veterans Federation of the Philippines, Association of Barangay Captains, Kawit PNP Force, Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Lodge #5 IGLPI, Cavite Historical Society and DepEd District of Kawit. Last part of the program will be the blessing of the tomb of Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo by Rev. Fr. Romeo Ner. The NHCP is a national government agency mandated to promote and preserve Philippine historical heritage through research, information dissemination, conservation, including the marking of historic sites and structures, and the maintenance and administration of national shrines and landmarks. |
