1. How do tour operators book for tours in the shrines and museums of the NHCP?

Tour operators are required to contact the Shrine Curator/ In-Charge of the Shrines and Landmarks they intend to visit and schedule for a school tour. Please take note of the museum hours:

   The Museum of Philippine Political History (MPPH) accepts 250 visitors in the morning and another 250 in the afternoon. Grade 5 to university level students are admitted into the museum.

  
  
2. How do schools and institutions loan exhibition materials from the NHCP?


   Schools and institutions interested in loaning exhibition materials from the NHCP are required to send a letter of request addressed to the Office of the Executive Director. If approved, a conforme letter from the NHCP stipulating the duration and responsibilities of the borrowing party must be signed. Institutions must provide their own vehicles to pick-up/ return the exhibitions to the NHCP. Damages to loaned exhibition materials accrued during the lease period shall be charged against the requesting party. Reproduction of loaned exhibition materials for an institution’s private use is disallowed.
  
  

3. What are the policies for the affiliation of local historical committees/ organizations to the NHCP?


   The NHCP recognizes the importance of local historical and cultural organizations as active partners in various historical and cultural endeavors. The organization and affiliation of local historical committees are categorized as:

  1. City (i.e. Cavite City Historical Society)
  2. Municipal (i.e. Baliuag Historical Committee)
  3. Provincial (i.e. Batangas Historical Committee)
  4. Institutional (i.e. Philippine National Historical Society, Adhika ng Pilipinas, Inc.)


   The NHCP solely accepts requests for affiliation from local historical committees upon compliance with the following requirements:

  1. Issuance of a City/Municipal/Provincial Resolution creating the said committee or unit;
    List of officers and members;
  2. Copy of its Constitution and By-Laws;
  3. List of Projects/Activities already accomplished or planned to be undertaken;
    Formal letter-request for affiliation;
  4. Copy of the registration with the Security and Exchange Commission, if applicable;


The NHCP affiliation procedures for local historical committees are as follows:

  1. Formal submission of the letter requesting for affiliation to the NHCP addressed to the Executive Director. All the requirements enumerated should be attached to the letter;
  2. After a thorough evaluation of the submitted requirements, the NHCP will approve the affiliation request through an acknowledgment letter and Certificate of Affiliation;
  3. Affiliated local historical committees are included in the official Registry of Local Historical Committees.



NHCP affiliated local historical committees are provided with preferential technical assistance in conservation and restoration of heritage objects and historic sites, research and documentation, and other educational collaterals. In turn, affiliated local historical committees are expected to assist the NHCP in the following:



  • Identification of historical sites and structures; 
  • Research on local historical personages, events and  structures;
  • Protection and preservation of local historical places and destinations;
  • Observance of the birth and death anniversaries of personages  and events of great historical significance;
  • Collection and transcription of oral and local history;
  • Preparation of the registry of the descendants of the local and national heroes
